    Good for rehab

Posted by Jodie on 24th Jul 2016

My horse is undergoing rehab for his hind end and this really makes him lift his legs properly. I would only use them sparingly so as not to stress the joints too much but for short and specific exercise they are great. My mare did flick them off though, so only 4 stars. My gelding wore them fine.

    great stuff!

Posted by plee on 17th Sep 2015

My horse has always been bit lazy/ slow/ not keeping the canter rhythm with the hind legs. After consulting my vet who thought it's a great idea to improve muscle and tone. I have been using it just 4 days now and already on day 1 I felt an improvement in that he picked his hinds up readily. Today I rode without the weights and there is an improvement- I don't have to ask ask ask to keep the rhythm as much as I normally would. I only use it during my training time. Unfortunately being by myself I could not make a video. I recommend this for anyone who would like to build strength into the hind legs. It's not cruel, the weights are well made and does not bother my horse one bit.

    Great tool to have

Posted by jess wills on 17th Apr 2014

I use theses on the back legs for my QH who has a a little bit of locking stifle. They encourage him to pick up his back leg and stretch it out and place it down instead of shuffeling or being lazy through the hind end. Great for the muscles in that area. I Only use them to warm up 15 mins or so and they really make difference.

    Fantastic training aid

Posted by Ailish on 16th Apr 2014

I do a lot of in-hand work and these have been fantastic to strengthen the front legs for a more expressive piaffe/passage. Used on the back legs makes them quicker too.
Especially effective with teaching an Andalusian horse "Spanish Walk"
I have a young horse coming back in to work soon after an injury and definitely will be using these on Vet's advise!
